Lost and Found

since the day
that I first
glanced,
an image known
and yet
unseen
I felt
within
what it was like
to be
without,
without my sight
My heart
now rests
My soul at peace,
I learned to breathe
To breathe
you in
become your own
become,
one need
I find myself
within your eyes
I lose myself...
within
your
sight

"...I am a river in winter,
quiet in the eyes of most
but deep,
          swift and full of life
to one, lucky enough to fall
          through the ice." (Watercourse 3/00)
