The Ugly Duckling Part 1 < !signature-->When she looked into the mirror all that she could see, was that an ugly duckling was all she would ever be. She only dreamed of having love sweet and true, so she kept herself hidden from the publics view. Then one day she finally met a man, who smiled at her and gently kissed her hand. Deep within her heart love for him started to grow, although she knew that she could never tell him so. On one special day he asked if his wife she would be, and she replied "How can you ask that question, when you look at me?" To which he replied "Tell me what do you see?" and her reply was "An ugly duckling I will always be." He just smiled and told her that "Beauty is beneath the skin, I love you my swan..... for your BEAUTY comes from within!" On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free. Thanks Trew, there actually is a part two to this one. I have a few friends who have convinced me that a few of my poems needed closure and a second part.....so...... part two will be arriving on the page as soon as I can post again.
