A world of hope in an expectant look, As multitudes’ pedantic blinded eyes In staunch refute of anecdotal book Ingeminate historic harrowed cries. Our children see with undefiled sense ~ Their hearts and minds novitiate, our charge. The future’s cast of tenets’ existence; The time is nigh, malignity to purge. Our ventures now each fledgling’s discipline, Whence we endow, mankind’s forever gained. Hereafter molds society’s doctrine; Eternally our lessons lie ingrained. Our vision now bestows the blind with sight. We are their world ~ their beacon and their light. [This message has been edited by Nan (edited 10-18-2000).] |

Ah, to see through the eyes of a child for most might be a scary thing. To realize just what a child sees in us unfathomable. Wonderful poem, Nan... sort of employs the rules I've tried to live by regarding teaching my own children by example and not just by a show of words - the realization that what they see is oh so much more powerful than anything they'll hear. Hiya Nanners. Ya know..I really enjoyed this. I might have had to get my dictionary for some of it, but even without that, it is understandable. The message is clear, and I agree with it totally. You do this so well that I could just ((HUG))) you! |

Well well well ... looks as if another poet is trying to make the cowboy actually feel human...and ya know what? It "IS" working. This is such a sweet read. I am the father of two and I can honestly say that there is no beauty that compares to that of when one of my children go exploring in either their mind or the ways and then suddenly finding that little bit of inspiration or that little bit of knowledge that just lights up their smile. Gawd my friend, you have taken it to a new level. Okay I will shut up for now ... but know this, I LOVED IT!!! |

"Our children see with undefiled sense ~ Their hearts and minds novitiate, our charge. The future’s cast of tenets’ existence; The time is nigh, malignity to purge." "Hereafter molds society’s doctrine; Eternally our lessons lie ingrained." What a wonderful piece Nan! I've read it a few times ... you've left me in deep thought this morning. What a beautifully composed message, they surely do learn from example. Best wishes, /Kit |
