Dark Angel's Prayer

Spiriting above the mountains high,
Singing song and prayer she flies
To fight and slay all mortal gloom
Dark Angels prayer, sung for two.

Her golden sword in sheath by side,
and Eternities Torch, she carries high.
The Flame of Life, she'll pass to you
to light the night of passing gloom.

So hearken to her prayer of love,
a Messenger of God, the lord above,
and sing her gift of comfort tonight
Dark Angel's Prayer a Beacon of Light.

James Parker Haley (c)2000 Oct Revision

(Revised: Gender change, Sorry I didn't
know our Dark Angel was a woman then
Inspired by the poem….

BTT.......this is too good and so many other great poets must have missed this first time round.

I KNOW they wouldn't want to miss a superb piece of writing like this from YOU!!!

dg, thank you I prefer it this way as it should have been.

Dark Angel, thank you for the inspiration back then when I was just a newbie here. I ran across it and when I read it again I realized the mistake I made in the gender so thought it was about time to correct.
