Here He Comes Again What is sorrow doing on my doorstep once again? I have no other choice but to allow him to step in His old familiar ramblings are tales I know so well Painful recollections of events he likes to tell What is sorrow doing in the verses that I pen? I was so certain that his face would not show up again And now he’s back to torment me, to wake me in the night To lace my words with teardrops in the poetry I write Why does sorrow cling to me, he’s not a friend of mine But ventures back into my life again from time to time I think this time he’ll hit me hard, but I’m prepared to fight And not fall victim to his phantom in the dark of night Sorrow comes intruding and expects to fill the whole But he should know the depth already carved into my soul There’s lots of space in sorrow’s well, the hollow’s deep and dark I doubt this time if he will even reach the half-way mark Elizabeth Santos |

There’s lots of space in sorrow’s well, the hollow’s deep and dark I doubt this time if he will even reach the half-way mark Elizabeth, I believe this is one of the most creative, and intriguing ways of describing the depths of one's sorrows or soul, that I've had the experience in reading. Most enjoyable! Robert Joseph |

This is sadly-beautiful..... There’s lots of space in sorrow’s well, the hollow’s deep and dark I doubt this time if he will even reach the half-way mark..........yep thats the spirit!! Loved this Elizabeth "If my words could blanket the skies and fill every corner and crevice of this earth, still this won't be enough" "Maree Russo" |

I always enjoy reading your poems, but I think this one is one of my favorites...Very well put. With a little piece of tomorrow, You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye. Because today won't last forever, And the past will only make you cry. |

Tell this phantom to leave... and I will send you sunshine beams to guide your way... and know that my spirit and my prayers are with you and yours today and always Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?...KRJ |

Sorrow is definately an unwelcome guest and can do so much damage when one is not looking, a nice power play to only let it in half way, wonderful words here. |
