“A LITTLE RAIN MUST FALL” The rains they came down, at such a torrid pace, it sounded like thunder, came from every place… But was it thunder, and rain from the sky, or was it your endless tears, running on by? Perhaps they’re tears of happiness, to make you sing again, or ones of sadness, and of tormenting pain… They ran down your face, flowing past your chin, looked like the falling rain, as it caressed your skin… And the thunder that I heard, from all around, didn’t come from the sky, but were your inner most sounds… They were ones of loneness, and agonizing trials, trying to cleanse a soul, after traveling many lonely miles… Your tears and the rain I can see, the thunder I hear, all of it touches my heart, and I can hardly bear… I tried to dry them, from inside and out, but I couldn’t do it, for they won in a rout… So many tears of anguish, and ones of forlorn, will the rain ever stop, for one that I adorn? Or will it continue to flow, all over the place, never wanting to stop, always coming down your face… The rain fell endlessly, and finally overflowed, from your hurtful eyes, which were so sorrowed… It continued and came, was such a display, even when it wanted to become, a bright sunny day… My essence was aware, of all your fears, and I tried my best, to make them disappear… But it seemed not to matter, for whatever I did, the falling rain became, all of your tears… Bill Charles |

What powerful comparisons you've drawn Bill ... excellent descriptive verse! Try though we might to ease another's pain, sometimes the wounds run too deep ... though always, we and they, are the better for the heartfelt effort. Beautifully written! ![]() Best wishes, /Kit |

Bill this is an excellant poem, I really like it, and even in the happiest times there are some tears. Although they may not be for what others think they are for. This is excellantly written, and has a lovely flow, just like the rain. Take care ![]() Marsha |

We weather life's emotional storms. Afterall, without them we can not appreciate the sunny skies and warm sun in their aftermath ![]() Excellent read, Mr. Charles. ...chanson~ Music, tonal clear & pure, Caresses the harshest of curves. -me, Song of Gesture |

So... If there weren't a little rain falling... Then all the rivers would run dry... and we'd have no rainbows - and what would you write about next?.. ![]() |

Evening Miss Behavin', I'm so glad that you came by tonight. Let's see, if there weren't a little rain falling, and all the rivers were dry then perhaps, I could write about the ocean. No, that wouldn't do, because if everything dryed up, then the oceans would be dry. But there would be always one thing around. I think that I would write about a woman with Brown Eyes. How about that, my dear Miss Behavin'? |

Bill "My essence was aware, of all your fears, and I tried my best, to make them disappear… But it seemed not to matter, for whatever I did, the falling rain became, all of your tears…" These are beautiful words with so much meaning. I need a kleenex (sniff, sniff) Ariana |

Evening Ariana, I appreciate you coming by to read this poem that I have written. The verse that you liked, I also do. Very much meaning is in it. Just a sec, I have a whole box of Kleenex right over there, on the table. Well hello, Ain' Miss Behavin'. You must be Miss Behavin's alter ego. Now about those lighthouses. I would turn all of them into quaint places to have din-din. Candlelight, a chilled bottle of wine, soft music, and how about a little romance? Or perhaps I'll just write a poem about one particular lighthouse! Don't misbehave too much now, ya hear? |

Justin Kace the seas run dry Then conjure up a storm Refill the ocean-tides to high The lighthouse then shall warn Of candle light to passers-by Romantic du-tunes till morn... |

Good morning Justin Kace, I do like the verse that you left. It continues......... The seas run high, gone astray Justin Kace, storm is rising, sky darkens at a quicker pace… Candles of the lighthouse, flicker a warning, to sailors of the night, and ships hulls baring… thanks for coming by, Bill |
