*Written with my Friend Mike* A day of dusty riding range, now sinking in the setting sun. The cowboy sat about the fire, his bedroll spread and beans begun "Lonesome cowboy come to me I am your ghostly fantasy kiss my lips..mmm..hold me tight lonesome man..in campfire light" As night breeze brings an unseen fright his trembling hand, a dinner spilled. Two flickering crimson points of light and brave young cowpoke's nerves are chilled. "Do not resist our ecstasy in the shadows of this night my cowboy ..shed your inhibitions while in sandy chains of moonlight" The cowboy's fear now turns to lust from the many lonely nights without his eyes swear female form from dust and bulging loins discourage doubt Night winds of the rising moon swirl to the base of passion coyotes sing in the mystic night within her lasso of twirling motion Enveloped now by smould'ring form a succubus of sage and sand his mind sweet fantasies now swarm while phantom forces fan his gland Sweet succulent lips replace lonely strings of wood guitar her mystic thighs replace leather chaps beneath dominant voyeur stars All thoughts of pounding hoofs and steers are washed away in pleasure's wave. Then spectre's body disappears abandoning her cowboy slave. Reflection of his spurs of lust glisten under the saddle of night was it a fantasy or a legend within phantom winds of campfire light? A poem is never finished, only abandoned. - Paul Valery (1871-1945) |
