In blackest night And full moons light You can hear the horrible laughter A scary sight The witch’s flight And creepy dreams thereafter She opens her book And takes a look To see what she can create A pigs ear there And an elephant’s hair Can make you levitate A dead mans thumb Can make one dumb If you use it the wrong way But say the spell And all is well Night turns into day The book of the dead Is often misread If the reader does not know That the words are cursed To say the worst From an evil from long ago An evil so old With a heart that is cold God sent Him directly to Hell Her master the first And eternally cursed On earth He doth dwell To free Him she must Collect some dust And cobwebs and turpentine A handful of worms And millions of germs And the eyeballs of a swine Some slimy old snails And puppy dog tails Along with the head of an Ox A shovel of dirt A little boy’s shirt And also the nose of a Fox A vampire’s fang And an orangutan Mixed with the sweat of a ghost A werewolf’s hair The blood of a mare Now you’re done…almost Mix them well And chant the spell And cook the contents on low In the cauldron of sin And demons within The sky begins to glow Once again The evil within Has been released upon the land Now don’t delay But begin to pray To the Son at the right Hand And so you know Before I go That good always wins For only He Can oversee The destruction of all sins Better to die, and sleep The never-waking sleep, than linger on And dare to live when the souls life is gone. |

You know, I knew I forgot something. Better to die, and sleep The never-waking sleep, than linger on And dare to live when the souls life is gone. |

I was trying to give it more of a scary ending but like all of my poems, they never end up the way I want them to. Thanks. Trevor Better to die, and sleep The never-waking sleep, than linger on And dare to live when the souls life is gone. |

well Trevor, if I knew how to write that sound that the monsters make, it would be right here....Awesome poem, but think, there are good spells and good witches too. Not as much fun for halloween maybe catalinamoon |

Thanks cat and puala. Well...if you ever figure out how to write that monster sound. Let me know. Better to die, and sleep The never-waking sleep, than linger on And dare to live when the souls life is gone. |
