Years, weeks, days
Hours, minutes, seconds
A lifetime spent
Waiting,
Words on a page
A time, a place, a family
Strangers to the mind

Love, loss, promise
A tragic story,
I linger on your words
Searching for answers
Greeted by ambivalence

Word, syllable, breath
Your last,
Seems too soon
A presence just discovered
Alone again

Ink, paper, images
Once yours,
Now mine,
Proof of what I lost
Evidence of undying love?

As I sit,
Emotions elude me
Voice fails me
Body shakes
Tears flow
Wondering what it all means

Welcome to passions... this is, appropriately, a very passionate piece... moving and emotional. Thanks for the read. I'll look forward to reading more of your work.

This is VERY well written and expressed.
this is an emotion filled piece...
and makes a very nice first impression.

I know it's been a long road
To get these towns behind me and I
Will gladly reap what we may sow--
I am there for you ...
and you're there for me ...
Are you waiting for
Heart in hand
Woman and man
See me where I stand I am
Heart
Heart in hand

Hello jkm1

Welcome to Passions, I enjoyed the read.

BTW- Are there lots of students in Ithaca that can write like this?

Yes, I admit your general rule. That every poet is a fool:
But I myself may serve to show it. That every fool is not a poet.
