The deep shame of loss oh God how it lingers the last grains of hope have slipped through my fingers There is now only silence and a dark empty abyss It’s crushing pressure, so dense my epilog is this I have given the last of love in my heart there is nothing left no embers to start The pain it now eases but not due to rest I now can feel nothing there’s no faith left to test for relief from the suffering I see only a pit I relinquish my strength and surrender to it I no longer feel fear it has won it’s control I have no fight left I have lost my soul The end it is near and I welcome it’s call for I will take there with me the greatest love of all I have only one regret as I leave this sad place that I didn’t get how it all went to waste |

Jim, This is so sad~ Please now that I have felt pain like you do~ It seems there's no end to the pain, no light ahead~ Believe me Jim, in time you will heal~ Hope and strength will carry you on~ Marie~ |

Very sad, but very beautifully written. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

I missed out on the first part of the story, but this one wrings my heart. I've known that place, but in time it did move on, like some slow moving train, and time took me to a much better place - one I could not have imagined in all my wildest dreams. I hope your train moves you on to a good place soon too. You're in too sad an empire of heart. This is a haunting, and beautifully written poem. |

Jim ----this is a sad time in your life. Your poem is so lovely and so well written. I cannot be you and feel your pain, but I have been where you are now. And these things do heal with time. Hugs from netswan |

Jim, Great poem. I can feel your pain and loss. Unfortunately can relate to it firsthand. This door in your life is closing, but sure as the sun will rise tomorrow another will open. Hang in there!! Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |

Jim~ Somewhere in this night a heart is aching ... I'm sorry it's yours. Hold tightly to the hope that will bring you to tomorrow's sun. It will blind you with it's brightness. Somewhere in tomorrow a heart is opening ... let it be yours. Love you and care ... e-mail me if you need.
