Lacy fronds of faded jade < !signature-->Sparkle with scattered dew Wistful is the sultry air As I yearn for love I knew. Under gentle green's cascade Bright wildflowers spray And among butterfly thoughts I wish for forgotten days. Warm is the wafting breeze Romancing the gentle boughs But my heart is bitter cold Where sun should be allowed. Winter sets upon my soul As summer sways in bloom And my teardrops softly gather Upon mother nature's loom.00FF66> *Krista Knutson* As soon as man does not take his existence for granted, but beholds it as something unfathomably mysterious, thought begins. ~*Albert Schweitzer*~ [This message has been edited by Alwye (edited 04-26-2000).] |

Such a lovely poem. Sad, but lovely. Great contrast writing. |

This is a beautiful, yet sad poem. I can relate to it very well. Great job. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde |

Krista, this so lovely in its melancholy and longing. and how well I relate to its emotions. you mirror mine...ONLY... yours are dressed up so much prettier(smile) loved this one... take care, jm Is it too much to find an answer, Is it too much to hold you close. Is it too much to find a reason, Is it too much to free my soul -- From self control ... And I know you're always waiting for me ... You take me far away, And I know you're holding me ... And it's better now ... ~vertical horizon~ |

Boy, I feel uneasy commenting after Janet... You're contrasting of summer and the soul's winter was excellent, vividly illustrating the emotion of the piece. Such longing and sadness and beauty described so wonderfully.. I only wish I could put mine to paper like you. Stunning as always Abrahm Simons "...Watching fate as it flows down the path we have chose" - Trent Reznor, "We're in this Together" |

Krista, I have to agree on the "stunning"... This is rhythmic and abounding with images and irony. Wonderful crafting you've shared with us here. YOU are growing in poetry, dear one. ~ Claire |

Beautiful poem Krista, just stunning. You put your emotions down on paper unlike anyone else I know. I know I can't do that. Krista, you're the best. "It is in our aloneness that we recognize our oneness, even as the single droplet of water knows also that it is the sea."Daniel *Cassie Roseen* |
