They see you But you ignore them. They think of you Yet you do not want to know. Everywhere you go they follow you And this bothers you. When someone asks about them You say you know nothing. But they are inside you – Your conscience knows And your ego struggles Against these thoughts. The suffering are a multitude Look at them And give them your hand. |

So true... there are people who often see someone suffering, say at a nursing home...and casually walk by pretending they don't hear their crys. Sometimes just a smile or a simple hello will ease their suffering if only for a moment. Very well written! I hope you will post more. ~Kelly ~Kellsue Reflect upon your present blessings-of which every man has many-not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. ~Charles Dickens We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. ~Winston Churchill |

That was a wonderful poem, with a wonderful message. Hope to read more from you soon. "Even a fool knows you can't touch the stars, but it doesn't stop a wise man from trying." Harry Anderson, "Night Court" *Cassandra Roseen* |
