They see you
But you ignore them.
They think of you
Yet you do not want to know.
Everywhere you go they follow you
And this bothers you.
When someone asks about them
You say you know nothing.
But they are inside you –
Your conscience knows
And your ego struggles
Against these thoughts.
The suffering are a multitude
Look at them
And give them your hand.

So true... there are people who often see someone suffering, say at a nursing home...and casually walk by pretending they don't hear their crys.  Sometimes just a smile or a simple hello will ease their suffering if only for a moment.  Very well written!  I hope you will post more.
