state of confusion

Please don’t stand at the edge
looking for an answer,
for this particular canyon
will only further yawn.

A void between you and she,
too great to ever span,
a foul, dark chasm it is,
so turn and face the dawn.

The day has come again,
offering one more option
gather close the light,
warm with absolution.

She hasn’t seen the you,
you asked her to see,
preoccupied with self,
no chance of resolution.

All this closeted darkness,
those demons that haunt you,
can only dwell in your house
by embossed invitation.

So shake the roof, my friend,
take back what was always there,
waiting at the ready for you,
for love has no imitation.

Michael,

please take this with the spirit intended, but the intensity level of pain in your poems, well, sort of drove me to writing this.

Corinne

perfect Corinne...
this is very sweet and kind...
yes... I know what your saying here.
M's poems evoke so much emotion...
he is so very gifted and special,
he has inspired me so many times...
and many others here as well.
very nice work here.
take care ,jm

Is it too much to find an answer
Is it too much to hold you close
Is it too much to find a reason
Is it too much to free my soul
From self control ...
And I know you're always waiting for me ...
You take me far away
And I know you're holding me
And it's better now ... ~vertical horizon~

Wow, I am humbled Corinne.  Beautiful poem, and very touching.  My life is a daily struggle at times.  It is easier when friends like you help me to keep focused.  Thank you very much for this.

WOW!   Touching is not enough word for this poem.    I love it.

Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau"
