It Never Seems Like Enough

Why is it that whatever I do for you,
It never seems like enough.

Why is it that everything I go through for you,
Never seems like enough.

No matter what I say or what I do,
It never seems to satisfy you.

I try my hardest to please you,
But you don't even acknowledge the fact that I'm still here.

So many nights I've sat and cried for you,
But for some reason,
You never seem to understand,
It never seems like enough.

I'm sick and tired of putting myself through hell for you,
When you don't even care about me.

All I want is for you to understand me,
Acknowledge me,
And for once in my life,
Actually do something for ME.

This is powerfully written and very emotional. I can empathise with you up untill a point, I never got sick and tired of going through hell for any of my friends. I sometimes felt the way you do about not seeming to be able to do enough but then my friend would just do something so sweet for me that all would immediatly be forgotten. You should show this poem to your friend, talk to them...but don't give up on them.

Carly I loved this...the style...the content, the thoughts, everything..excellent writing. I know the type of person of which you speak....Selfish....the whole world revolves around them...what can you do for me today kind....a user....a real bore in my book..James
