Everyone in Here is a Poet In this forum, poets reign a metaphor - a rhymetic song broken hearts and mended ones haiku - (just learned that name) the metronome buzz of words - sonnets a plenty -- taste like golden honey hearts pour out their painful sorrow mothers and fathers puff out words of pride poets write of hope for tomorrow Death doth walk in these forum doors -- while the hurt of an ending - nevermore Joy flows through here with bustling vigor --and tears awash from life's injustices A funny ditty or a poem with a clever twist some for sure are written by poetic lunatics --) Tributes enter here aplenty to artists and to new net friends a place where one can pretend Or pour the truth of life and bleeding hearts -Tales of woe - and angry foes are just a start Some use perfect metric rhyme others freestyle their mystic words sublime Some spend hours on a written line while some hastily write what's on their mind Each is a heart that is spoken true reaching with words to those that share - like you. netswan April 18, 2000 [This message has been edited by netswan (edited 04-24-2000).] |

Maybe I am just odd, bu I read sarcasm in this one...Indeed, many people accredit themselves with poetic skills that they do not posess...I might consider myself a poet, but is that really my decision? Can I really make that claim? Yes and no; those are correct answers. This forum has many great writers, and many hobbyists. I read a lot into this one, and appreciate it greatly. |

Thanks everyone for your great replies. Brandon -- this has no sarcasm in it at all --- I am glad you liked it. netswan |

I'd say you summed it up very neatly, netswan. We're just like an arsenal. There may be a lot of calibers but we all shoot straight....good work. |

Well written netswan It's hard to say how many of us actually feel like poets but it's nice to share with others the words of our hearts and not be judged for what comes out. Hold me for yesterday Kiss me for tomorrow But love me for today. |

Excellent netswan. . . everyone is indeed a poet, some of us just use words. . . some use a brush, others, a voice. . . we all express ourselves in our own way. . . we all have the poet within us. . .how we express it, is up to us. . . ------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
