Poetic Cleansing Words on paper release Chains around me expel My pain has been set free You have heard, while I tell Washed in the "Knowing" glow Shared storied of the past To hear one say "I know" Not a single stone is cast Writing not for pity's sake But for cleansing intent Not one reply is fake I leave today....content Hold me for yesterday Kiss me for tomorrow But love me for today. |

Corinne* yes that's the effect Lost Dreamer* I to have felt that, especially after the abuse challenge...I felt that it was a very hard challenge to live up to but shaking out the cobwebs seems to have helped and gave us all a LOT more awareness something there can never be to much of. |

Great poem, and so true esp after the CA challenge "Love is the only drug you can take that will convince you each time that you've never had it before." ~author unknown~ |

Butterfly ~ I think Marie has got it exactly right, writing helps to cleanse the soul. In the end I think that is why we all write. Well Done! Not all those who wander are lost. ~J.R.R. Tolkien |

butterfly... you KNOW I love this one... writing sets our souls free... this poem was a breath of fresh air. keep em coming my SS... it gets better with each verse. love ya, jm Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... The wind and your love to carry me. vertical horizon |
