This house will always be my home No matter how far away I roam I am welcome here Any time any year To me it's a special place Of you there is no trace This is where I relax When things begin to tax A sort of mental retreat To get away from the heat Of my messed up life Which has much strife It is like the calm bay Where ships stay Until the storm is over And they come out from cover Now I feel much better My eyes a little redder From the many tears That comforted my fears Dad is the one I can count on When all is said and done To be there for me Through calm and stormy seas Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. netswan....thank you. Dad's house has always been mine. Although I know it will not be some day, but until that day...I will continue to journey there. Grandma isn't a bad choice either. Lady Web....yes, there is much truth in it. And of course, no place like home!!  Marge....thank you. He is like my rock. The only one I know I can always count on in life. He is very special and I love him more than words can say. I guess you could say home is where my heart has always been.  Through all that I've been through in my life I know without a doubt the man I call my "dad" is the one that will always be there for me....I can relate to this soooo much. It was beautiful and I'm so glad you have a place like this in your life.Hold me for yesterday Kiss me for tomorrow But love me for today. |
