Beyond Two We all ache to know light still we draw into darkness, discordant bookends never turning face to face. Comfort of a borrowed heart, brief moments of nirvana recalled as we sadly withdraw and turn away to sleep. Herculean in soft repose, watching grace fall from afar, end of the line for dignity, so I love you even more. That you show vulnerability when emotions are best hidden, demonstrating your faith, a sign of true substance. Beyond all rationale thinking, still drawn to someone or something, inaccessible, just out of contact beyond the number two. © 2000 Corinne Bailey |
