WASHING OVER ME

I feel it,
so soothing,
so warm,
tingling
the sun of hope
relinquished
from clouds of doom
of doubt
of eternal gray haze

I watch,
wild with wonder,
amazed
one touch
growing now,
burning
evaporating
all damp, dank
condensation
of a lingering
~ past ~

How I relish it,
this silken promise
shining
of peace,
of belief
the trust
tomorrow
yet holds the dreams
of today

I bask in it
cherishing the new birth
free from chrysalis
at last
in but looking on you
In this,
this moment
I've dreamt of
forever

Michael Anderson

My friend, you have just written my mood, here -- thank you for improving it even more!  After so much darkness in my life of late, the light is nearly blinding ...

Big silly grins ...

Full fathom five thy father lies,
Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

Me thinks, m'dear, that it is high time for basking in the soothing warmth of the Sun of Hope and Love.  This poem is breathtaking...it speaks of rebirth and of joy, with a spring-like newness about it. It is time for forever-dreams to become reality for you, Michael.

I adore it.

May I never be too busy to help another's load,
Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed.

I feel it...

Indeed Michael, I feel it too. How could one not with such an emotionally charged piece! Wonderful presentation, and what a way to push across those words. Wow!

Yeah. What they said.

Could there be a more luminous sensation? I loved your "silken promise" line.

exquisite M, truly...
this one glows with your light,
you shine in this poem of hope and promise.
oh how I love seeing you like this...
warms my heart(smile)
take care, jm

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

Wahoo!  Let's celebrate the Monarch's flight, he's beautiful, isn't he?

What joy in this poem, hon.

Kess, If anyone deserves a little light in their life, it's you.  Glad to see you smiling.

Satiate, well, break out the tanning lotion and let's go lay out... bask if you will...    I'm ready for that dream to become a reality soon too, dear.

Jason, words are but the surface of poetry, as I see you have already figure out just by glancing at your reply...

Claire, ((HUGS)) to you too, dear.

PdV, alright, just who's in charge of the proclaiming here, and how come I wasn't informed?

Janet, 'tis a side of me that hasn't been out much of late, but it does exists.

serenity, Uh, is that a threat or a promise? ...LOL  you wouldn't hurt me, would ya?

marie, glad you enjoyed so much.

Corinne, visions of butterflies all through my head...

Jeffrey, thanks for the boost...

Thank you everyone for the gracious comments.
