Dream of me as if I was real Touch me so that I may feel And know about life When all things right, My lips do knowingly unseal Open arms and that look in your eyes Lifting me up to heights so high Body disengaged, Leaving one so aged Floating corporeal, like clouds in the sky Protect me from myself today No matter the words I say Nor the flesh you touch Could ever mean so much Unless I was gone away Parted lips and moist by far Wherever our broken bodies are You try to insist Nothing exists, Until I show you all the stars Teach me more than I thought to learn So that I could teach you in turn Together on fire Still higher and higher So that we, as those very stars, can burn |

Dream of me as if I was real Touch me so that I may feel And know about life When all things right, My lips do knowingly unseal ------------------- Parted lips and moist by far Wherever our broken bodies are You try to insist Nothing exists, Until I show you all the stars Teach me more than I thought to learn So that I could teach you in turn Together on fire Still higher and higher So that we, as those very stars, can burn ----------------- *sighing of contentment* this is exquisite and perfect... and much needed on this morn. stalking you in your sanctuary *S* your jm your words are like my sanctuary, keeping me safe...keeping me alive. with in the embrace of your words, I finally breathe and survive. Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... The wind and your love to carry me. vertical horizon |

Yowsers, this one burns with passion.....I love the title too. It actually brought a smile to my face because I immediately thought of the hunchback saying "Sanctuary, give me sanctuary" I may have to borrow your title if you don't mind and write one to that myself |

JML~ Well, seems we 'ladies' are all a'flutter over this one. Write us another one that you 'really didn't think much about' 'Protect me from myself today' *Swooning here* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I have a poem about my sanctuary, unfortunatly, it's a little on the violent side. Thank you so much, I believe poets teach the world that there is still hope. Correct me if I miss-interperated this! Hope, Alicia A. Renzelman |
