I heard you strumming your guitar under my balcony
you sang so magically the beauty overwhelmed me
I sat and listened in complete silence breathing in your every note and sound
How breathtaking your talent was
you sang of things of great significance
you sang of things so true
I felt the pain in your song
I felt the happiness too

Eventually I arose from the shadows
I stood and clapped at the finish of your great work
I began to tell you how talented i thought you were
we sat and talked on the beach until early morning
I slept soundly with visions of our talk
and the wisdom you had shone to me
crowding my mind with thoughts so true
I often thought it was so odd to feel so strongly about someone as different as you
Different in a wonderful way, unique, profound
You spoke of the rainforest, love, nature
It was as if I was living in a wonderful dream

I met a man so intellegent so wise, we shared aspirations, we shared dreams
We walked on the beach and sat in the sand
you taught me lessons about being true to no one else but myself to follow my own dreams
and to not let others knock them down
you looked at me and shared your thoughts
we made memories i'd always dreamt of having

the final day of your stay i watched you kayak through the water following the dolphins and rays
we walked away from the ocean and then we said goodbye it was hard to not be sad we didn't have more time but the memories of the songs and talks we shared were far to much to be grateful for

Thank you for being on the patio that night
and filling the air with your words
I appreciate the time we spent together
those days after we were no longer strangers in the night.

Strangers do have a way with touching our lives, don't they. Such lovely memories you have to treasure.

AngelWings~
this was beautiful, for better lack of a word. it is amazing to me how "strangers"
can come into our lives and leave such a
profound mark, forever touching our hearts
and souls. it's apparent that this is what
this person did for you. your heart shines
in this!
take care.

Thank you all for your comments.  Yes, it is quite weird how a stranger can influence us in such a way.  I wish you all good luck in writing and thank you for reading mine.
