Across the border from Laredo,
...in a small cantina,
Works a girl, I know her well,
...my ebon haired Edwina.

A smile she has like grand piano,
...her teeth gleem black and white,
Long braided hair grows on her back,
...is quite a hairy sight.

She sings just as the meadowlark,
...globetrotter, not the bird,
Talks only in the Spanish tongue,
...in English, not a word.

It matters not, for we both speak,
...in language of true love,
Si, Si, Edwina, gracias,
...my Spanish turtle-dove.

We dance the night, the cha-cha-cha,
...as we drink tequila,
When bottle's dry, we eat the worm,
...and does Edwina squeala.

Oh how I long, to once again,
...return to small cantina,
And spend the night with my true love,
...my Spanish fly, Edwina.

Okay... so I had a bad day... give me a break.

Mike, if this is what you do when you have a bad day, then I say good way to manage stress.  Put a little rhymed humor on the page..and make someone else smile....that's me smiling.  Hope you have better days!

I settled in for some vintage Mike
romantic man that he is
The first verse drew me in
and I sighed, gee whiz!

Then reading on I got this smile
wide across my face
who else but Mike could do this
in this Passion-ate place!

good poem sir! Made me smile!

Mike~
LOL !
Threw me a curve for sure !
Got me giggling.
Have a margarita, my friend.
Even your worst day at work couldn't
be so bad that it stifled your humor.
Funny man !
