Waking after dreaming-- smell the coffee-- bacon fried... Stretch of arms-- -yawn--- silent screaming... (I did not know I was so tired...) And had I felt your fingertips... I swear, my mind, it would have slipped.... A crisp of sheet, the smell of starch-- your exhale lingered in the air... with tears I lick my lips of parch--- Another dawn with no sun there. |
