O' beauteous Rose, ...in passion pressed, Amid the swell, ...of heaving breast, Let kisses rain, ...upon thy face, As one we meld, ...in love's embrace. For never shall, ...our heart's divide, As in mine arms, ...lay thee beside, I know my love, ...shall ever be, Beloved Rose, ...dear bloom to me, Rising, coursing, ...as river wild, As by thy passion's ...am beguiled. Flowing, flowing, ...to the sea, My beauteous Rose, ...I worship thee. |

Awesome! YOu do have a beautiful way with words! Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

O'beauteous rose, ...blooming for thee, Fragrance Blowing from the sea, ...drippng dew from thy lips, Velvet kisses upon thy fingertips, ...Raining down upon thy cheek, soft and warm, tender, meek, ...petals opened, Heart set free, ...Fly to thee across this sea, My beauteous rose, ...of eternity. Mike, This is outstanding! As I knew it would be from the title. I like the format of the poem and of course your exquisite expression Liz |

Mike~ You pluck the petals of the rose like no one else I know. Leaving fragrant thoughts everywhere you go. Beautiful ... ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Thank you all for the very gracious comments. Perhaps today you will have the pleasure of seeing a rose. My first rose of the year is presently blooming out in front of the house. |

Mike - YOU DEVIL!!! Now you've got all these ladies swooning, which makes it a lot harder for other men who need their adulation. You hit it with this one! |
