100 pounds of Clay

I want to do Adam and Eve.
Hey..just like there was one for him
let there be one for me.
Adam was lonely and didn't know what to do.
He knew something was missing in his life.
He wasn't so much different from me and you.
I've sung that old song before about 100 pounds of clay.
It seems that God told Adam he didn't know what he was missin.
Now I've been around long enough to know what I'm missin.
But anyway as the song says, God rolled his big sleeves up
and he created a woman and lots of lovin for a man.
Wow, what a concept.
Thanks God, for doing that, before you took a rest.
Out of all the things you created, I believe women are the best.
I have to tell you God, I totally agree with you on this one.
Any God that would create so much loveliness and beauty is sure all right with me.
So if you would please listen to my lonely plea,
I don't want them all, just the one you created for me.
That's right God.  This is Adam and I'm ready to do Eve.
Take my rib if you must.
I won't be needing that one anymore
cause Eve will be all I'll ever need forevermore.
It's hard to imagine anyone coming up with a better plan.
Thanks a lot God for creating lots of loving for a man.

Thanks Magnolia and X Angel for your responses.  The journey continues...but I have already found the one I love...I can only hope and pray her heart softens for me.  James
