~WHY~ Why does the Mere thought of You make me cry? When it used To dearly warm My heart just to Have you nearby. Why does reading Your letters and sweet words Make my heart weep? When I have them all Bound up in safeties keep. We shared we played We made shadows on the wall Such sweet tender union between us Now it is such bittersweet recall. You told me goodbye You shattered the glass Through which everything Was so clear as it came to pass. Why does the Mere thought of You make me cry? When it used To dearly warm My heart just to Have you nearby? ©1980~CJB~ < !signature--> [This message has been edited by MagnoliaBlue (edited 06-02-2000).] |

This is a very gentle poem and nicely written. Not only did I enjoy it, but I can also relate! |

Sad poem. Sometime these questions are never answered. Thats the hardest part sometimes. Nice work. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

Well written with a great presentation. It's painful to remember the happy times and then be reminded that you can never relive those times again and that you just have to let go. I am very sorry for what you are dealing with now. Keep writing poems, over time, you will heal and release your tensions and overwhelming emotions. I wish you the best in future love Take care, Melissa Honeybee |

Good poem, lovely style. The last few lines were like tears dropping down...nice effect. |

Thank you everyone for the comments. Jana...I am happy you read the effect correctly...tears are what I was going for. Melissa...I am OK as this was written in 1980. Thanks for your sweet thoughts. MBlue |
