FLEETING < !signature-->Time, if fleeting, e‘er be cherished By this meeting too soon perished. Moment frozen, chanced to vision, Having chosen Fate's decision. To dream in dance with Destiny This lover's glance ‘twixt you and me. By soft green eyes accepting call, My soul yet cries to offer all. If by the touch of fingertips, If by a clutch of sand that slips Beyond the call of Time, grieving, Unto the Fall of Love - leaving. With a sweeping of dry sorrow ‘Pon eyes weeping for the morrow, As sweet vespers of Night, broken, Befall whispers e‘er unspoken. In waking calm, too calm to speak. In place of palm to tender cheek If but to catch a tear bleeding Of passion, of fear, of needing... As echoed "whys" impinge the dawn, Across the skies, a Tempest drawn. Wistful sighs of past endeavor Dare to dream love lasts forever. But is Hope not insatiate? All heaven wrought by hell to wait? All wishes carved to garner trust, (Emotion starved), sifted like dust? How shall we hold what can't be held? Dare love bold that which can't be quelled? From this beating, two hearts now one, Save Time, fleeting, in unison? Michael Anderson For all behind was dark and drear, And all before was night and fear. How many hours of night or day In those suspended pangs I lay, I could not tell; I scarcely knew If this were human breath I drew. DARE to DREAM M, ...this CAN be held. sooner or later, we all get a chance at happy endings... sometimes we even get to help write it. later kind poet-gator jm There are places inside our souls ... that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts ... that need to be loved this much. ~Janet Marie~ "What the caterpillar calls the end ... Micheal, I log on to the forums everyday hoping to catch a glimpse of another masterpiece by the many gifted poets here, and you have given me that glimpse once again. I agree with Jan....DARE TO DREAM All my love, Jeffrey I lie awake in a world filled with dreams, but dreams can be so real when you don't know you're asleep |

A farewell is before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends." |

Michael I love this style of poetry from you, I love the questions, thought provoking they are, deep intriguing thoughts captivate me and your poems are full of them! Add a Romantic flair and Shakespearean costume..you could play Romeo, after reading your poem, you took me on this journey to this time, this place...thanks! This one is my personal favorite of yours(for now)!hehe |

SEA - I'm not really sure either...LOL Glad you liked it, though. BDC, Only if I somehow weave this "vision" into the reality I would have it to be, shall I ever be "master"... Janet Marie, Indeed, the questions are emit no luster when the answers shine so brightly before you. Jeffrey, TY much. "Dare to dream" eh?, - Always have, haven't I ? ... Amy, well I feign to think on someone being "deserving and worthy" of me - I certainly have found my expectations in the romance department may not have been as far fetched as I was beginning to believe. Someone out there certainly is "worthy" of my love, however, and this revelation is indeed cause to smile for me this day. Rose Petal, The questions may seem good for the poetry - but doubt really holds no merit in love or life... That being so, I long for the day it will no longer reflect in my work. Glad you enjoyed though. Hope to get you a newer favorite soon...LOL Thank you all for the kind replies, Michael [This message has been edited by Michael (edited 06-02-2000).] |
