Well, this is the best I can do... I have only one poem that I wrote as a kid.  I don't know how old I was - just that I was a teenager... 'Tis a bit simplistic, but here it is, nonetheless...

Today is a day for fun and frolic
For running and dancing and skipping along
Today is a day to be euphoric
A day for a jolly old song.

Your rhythm and flow was clearly perfection from the beginning Nan ... even in just these 4 lines!  Wonderful!

Challenge well met in 4 sweetly penned lines, a true poet from the start Nan.  Thanks for sharing this with us!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Nan - well - at least the Jolly and Old are still true

I wish I could remember back that far - I'm way past old now - lol

Nan,

you might not believe this, but I needed to hear this just now. Must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed, thanks for the reminder of the good side!
