Lilac Dreams
By Amy M. Kennedy

The day is coming to an end...the sun is setting low
A field of lilacs surrounds me as the wind softly blows
Your image comes softly to me, an angel's face
And I can feel the powerfulness of your beauty, your never-ending grace
Whether you are in my dreams or my reality
I want you always and forever, for an eternity
Skies turning different colors, pink, red, yellow, and blue
Watching as your plane is about to take off, temporarily seperating me and you

Birds singing as the trees begin to sway
And I am wishing with an intense burning that I could save this day
Memories play back through my mind, and it brings a smile to my lips
As I think about when you and I shared that first magical kiss

The plane takes off into the sky
Tears slowly fall down my cheeks as I wave goodbye
I'll hold you close to my heart until we can be together once more
I love you today and always, with all that I am...our love will fly with the angels...together we will soar

"Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends."

Amy* This is filled with the scent of saddness and heart touching beauty.  Lilacs are my Favorite so you touched on my heart with this one...and after reading it through you touched very deeply.  **Hugs** to you Miss Amy!

Amy,

Why did you let this person get on that plane???  I would have tracked him down and handcuffed him to my hip. LOL  I love your expression in this piece, its very sentimental.  you must share alot of memories with this person that you love.

hope it works out for you.

Amy~
So tenderly done that I felt myself waving goodbye with your heart.
Hey .... remember they sell round-trip tickets !
This was truly a lovely flight on the wings of a loving heart.

It just made me want to cry!  It brought back memories of friends and loved ones that I let slip away.  Very touching.
