~ ~ ~
Even
after thirty-seven
years, still so very easily

You caught my breath away

your slow tender kisses whiskering down
my face, melting along the curve of my neck, roving
to my yearning mouth, across my cheek, a nibble on the chin,
my heart racing, our arms around each other. Such a tremendous
love-wrapped thrill you gave with open arms, all unexpected
as I walked past your chair after my shower like years
of quiet countless evenings, while you write.

Sweetly dissolving in your gentle
spontaneity; enclosed
and fusing to
your body,
the towel falling off
my head, long hair tumbling down
the other side to the floor, you kept on kissing.
Adorning my soul with your love’s lustrous liquid gold.

The world vanished, as I, enchanted, transformed
to youth once more; became aware only
of your loving touch.  Your clear
sapphire eyes lit mine with
shining sparkling
stars as

you caught my breath away

Musta been great !

(oh, yeah ... I suppose Lucky's grinning !)

Oh, Marge, there's no one else quite like you!  Okay, okay, I'll get my clothes back on, and situate myself back at my trusty computer.

Thank you for catching my drift, my friend!

Rosemary,
You can write in the nude if you want. But please, don't let us interrupt! I'm beginning to wonder when you two have time for poetry.
But anyway, this was beautifully written and captivating, to say the least.

Sometimes, I'm just so happy, I can't stop singing - 'er, writing - actually, both.
Thank you Elizabeth, for your sweet and hilariously funny reply, thank you Marge, for your wonderful humor, and thank you "lucky" Dale, for your inspiration! (I think I'm the lucky one, sweetheart.)

Margie,
Now let them alone. Just because Rosemary gave us a little glimpse into her private world, doesn't mean she wants a poker game. She's doing just fine without any cards.
Excuse the intrusion, you two. As you were.

Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-remain the most beautiful words ever heard.
