everything that happens is gray and gold and green and blue,
flecked with ocean foam and stalks of plants and trees' crowns
blossoming in the sun.
eyes red with tears and blood that you saw, the knifelight
reflections of the murder you made in order to be saved.
you were brave to embrace the night as it fed on your bones.

everything that happens is gray and blue and hued in green teardrops
caught in orange glare.
everything we love died and went away, but the memories make love to stake,
stage and stay to play on tomorrow's newheld, wishwaiting day.

S'en,
Glad to make you smile. You made me smile, too. And do you really think I understand what I wrote?   Sometimes, but not always. I just liked the sound of "everything that happens is gray" after I misread a newspaper article that ended with the quote "everything that happens now is gravy."
