When When you've fallen just as far as you can go, And you've lost the will to fight the faithful fight, When you thing you can't withstand another blow, And you're stuck in a morass of endless night,. When you want to give it up and call it quits, And you know there's not a reason left to live, When you've reached the end and used up all your wits, And you've given everything you have to give, That's the time you need to know you're not alone, And there's someone there to share your heavy load, Let me carry you across each jagged stone, Let me hold you till we find a smoother road. For I know just what it's like to reach that spot, When your helplessness gives way to dark despair, And although I once was there, today I'm not, 'Cause I had a friend who took the time to care. You too are blessed with friends who love you dearly, And they'll help you overcome your darkest sorrows, Just lean on them , you'll see your path more clearly, A path of bright and beautiful tomorrows. So don't give in, fight back until you've conquered, Every demon that the enemy may send, Then you'll see what up to now has been obscured, That no man must stand alone who has a friend |

Splendid David -----wonder if it is true that everyone has a friend. I have always been told to have one true friend in life -- you have done good! Great inspirational poem - and written well, but then you knew that  ~netswan |

Wonderful David we all need a reminder form time to time, "When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone, when you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on.
