Friendship Growing
~*Marge Tindal*~

In the friendship garden I found you
Struggling in a little spot
I dug you up and took you home
And placed you in a pot

Now each day I sing you melodies
Each day you seem to grow
How was it that you came to be
The nicest friend I know ?

I think I know the answer
I believe you know it too
We give strength with just our caring
What you give comes back to you

I showered you with welcomed hugs
And gave your face a smile
You began to blossom
making it all worthwhile

We all must feed the friendship
Or it withers on the vine
I gave you the will to flourish
You gave me a friendship divine

Friendship grows the flowers
We add to our bouquet
Thank you for the perfect rose
You gave to me this day

Now you must return the favor
To the friendship garden go
There's another friendship waiting there
Can you make it grow ?

*For a friend who presents me with
a fresh bouquet of her friendship each day
Lil' Lizzie ... you're special to this garden.

~Marge,...you're awesome!!!   This is such a wonderful poem,...the kind that can get sent around to make everyone realize how nice it can be to be a friend to someone and get a thousand times the flowers back in return.  You are like I said before,..a beautiful heart.

Lizzie, my, how she inspires
She glows with grace and lights your fires
She lives and loves with open mind
The sweetest girl you'll ever find
She likes the peace of nature's scene
Impala herds that graze serene
Then turns around and fiercely competes
In relays of great swimming fetes
Then turns around and writes a phrase
So wonderful, the words amaze
Then turns around and sends a note
Of comfort from a heart remote
Then mounts her mare and rides away
To seek the peace of a glorious day
Her spirit seems to never tire
My, how Lizzie does inspire
Love ya, Lizzie
Love ya, Marge
Beautiful poem and tribute
Liz

Corinne~
Thanks, gal friend !

LoneWolf~
She sure brings fresh sunshine rays
into my life ... and inspiration to
be all she believes me to be.

My 'Other' Lizzie~
What a lovely, lovely poem for our
gal.  She has gone to bed for the night
but on morning's waking .. will read every bit of this and enjoy your poem immensely.

Like I told you today when we talked ...
some people go their whole lives and don't even get ONE Lizzie ... and here I am blessed with TWO of you.
You both curled up in my heart to stay.

Thank you sooooo much for the call ...
God, it was good to hear your sweet voice.
Breathe deeply my friend ...
for your spirit flows my way and I capture
you in my thoughts.
*winking at you* Lizzie, my friend.
Great BIG HUGS for that handsome Tony !

Dear Marge,
This was wonderful writing. I could scarcely consider anything which could compare! As beautiful as each individual flower may be, we all have our common devotions. Thank you for sharing such words with us all, and especially me   I really enjoyed it.

^_^ Amanda

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate, Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date. Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimmed; And every fair from fair sometimes declines, By chance or nature's changing course, untrimmed. But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st; Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st.
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
William Shakespeare
