Life is Like Boxing Sometimes life is like boxing match until you die from when you were hatched sometimes the rules are basically the same 'cause win or lose, it's just a game Sometimes life will knock you down when you know you have to face another round sometimes life gives you a second chance when you look at it from a boxer's stance Sometimes you never know what your opponent will bring when the lights dim, you hear the bell ring sometimes life gives you a standing eight count where you get time to shake the cobwebs out Sometimes you are in the ring after losing the bout you brush yourself off but still have doubts sometimes life works out that way and you challenge it again on another day Sometimes you are overwhelmed by your opponents' size But you push on with the joy that you're still alive sometimes you feel like you are standing alone and forget about the loved ones that cheer you on Sometimes you have to prance and dance while you choose life's path and take a chance sometimes you end up on the losing side but no matter what, you must stand with pride Sometimes we look back, the bout has been won life almost over, the race has been run sometimes our destiny has us on the edge of our seats life is like a boxing match with its wins and defeats Jeffrey Carter and Teresa King (netswan) All my love, Jeffrey I lie awake in a world filled with dreams, but dreams can be so real when you don't know you're asleep |

Life is like a boxing match... so that would explain my aching body and the head ache, funny the way it only feels like that after a night of drinking. really liked this, lots of truths but written in a playful way. great poem. |
