*This is another one of my translations of A. Pushkin.

I can't sleep; the light is out;
Chasing senseless dreams in gloom.
Clocks at once, inside my room,
Somewhere next to me, resound.
Parcae’s soft and mild chatter,
Sleeping twilight’s noisy flutter,
Life’s commotion -- so insane..
Why am I to feel this pain?
What’s your meaning, boring mumble?
Disapproving, do you grumble
Of the day I spent in vain?
What has made you so compelling?
Are you calling or foretelling?
I just want to understand,
Thus I’m seeking your intent...

Serenity, thank you kindly for your comments... I'm glad that I can share A. Pushkin's poetic ability with you, but believe me my translations do not do him justice! Thank you again.

Lorraine, I'm glad you liked it!

"my bed is pulling me.
gravity" - R.E.M daysleeper

Oh I know this well, I hate insomnia. I mean you spend hours trying to do something that most nights comes naturally. good poem I liked this maybe I should hang this up on my bed room wall and when I can't sleep at night I can read it and at least know I am not alone. lol

Small Black Flowers That Grow In The Sky

"You have your very own number
They dress your cage in its nature
Once you roared now you just grunt lame
Pace around pathetic pound games

Wanna get out won't miss you sensaround
To carry your own dead to swing your tyre tricks
Wanna get out here you're bred dead quick
For the outside,
The small black flowers that grow in the sky

They drag sticks along your walls
Harvest your ovaries dead mothers crawl
Here comes warden, Christ, temple, elder
Environment not yours you see through it all

Wanna get out won't miss you sensaround
To carry your own dead to swing your tyre tricks
Wanna get out here you're bred dead quick
For the outside,
The small black flowers that grow in the sky

Here chewing your tail is joy"

AAAGGGHHH Insomnia...welcome to my nighttime door
glad you didn't forsake me more...
a night without you I would abhor
for I write and write forevermore...

Good one Master...been there...done that!

Brian, I'm glad that I'm not alone! At least, we'll suffer together.

Sunshine,I know how you feel. Cute response!
