I dreamed I’d someday hold you, Within these arms of mine. The paradise I’d heard about… Would surely then be mine. I’d look into your dreamy eyes- And deep within I’d see… A look of love beyond my ken, And all reserved for me. But dreams fade with the dawning- Light brings reality. It’s plain to see and understand, You don’t belong to me. I’ll never hold you like I’d planned, No matter how I scheme- The thought of you within my arms, Is just a futile dream. A lonely moon shines in my room, To wake me with it’s beams. I hasten then to hide my head, And seek you in my dreams. |

This is so full of longing and, of course, is beautifully done. I guess we all have our share of those unattainable dreams. This is very lovely, John! Denise |

I must tell you, reading this made me cry. So true to life, these words of yours. Thank you, Gunslinger. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Hi Gunslinger, This is so beautiful because of the love that could be and so sad that it is not of yet, wonderfully done. Love, Cerenity |
