How do I get back the words, That recorded the patterns of my soul, How do I tell myself how to write, About things I see in everyday life, My heart has taken up a vow of silence, And never allow to be recorded on medium, How do I get back the words of pain, Or even the words of joy, How can I move on if my mind won't bear all, Where can I find the place, Where words flow like wine, As they once did. We are all poets, its just some people dont know it yet. |

Maria~ I think you've found a start in getting back the words. The words are within your soul, the secret is learning to unleash them. Enjoyed reading this piece. Hope to see more. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

this was a very special poem to me, personally, for I too, had thought of remaining silent, but no, we can't. we just can't. Get the words back..... oh, they never leave poets ever., they only slumber until we lift our hearts to write... Kathleen [email protected] |

I think this is a question many of us can relate to very well. You are not alone in this. It's so very nice to see one of the original main site poets here in the forums, Maria! Welcome! Denise |

It is a blessing and curse to be able to express yourself through words. The dry periods can be hard but just focus your mind to other things, they always end, I have one that lasted for a few months and thought I might never write another poem again. But reading your poem, I think you have nothing to fear, it looks to me like the creative juices are flowing. wonderful poem. ------------------------ "Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too? " Douglas Adams. Small Black Flowers That Grow In The Sky "You have your very own number They dress your cage in its nature Once you roared now you just grunt lame Pace around pathetic pound games Wanna get out won't miss you sensaround To carry your own dead to swing your tyre tricks Wanna get out here you're bred dead quick For the outside, The small black flowers that grow in the sky They drag sticks along your walls Harvest your ovaries dead mothers crawl Here comes warden, Christ, temple, elder Environment not yours you see through it all Wanna get out won't miss you sensaround To carry your own dead to swing your tyre tricks Wanna get out here you're bred dead quick For the outside, The small black flowers that grow in the sky Here chewing your tail is joy" Richey Edwards |
