Just a Little Kiss A simple kiss to say good night What harm could one kiss do? Just a touch upon your lips As soft as morning dew An insignificant event In lifetimes of mankind Just a little kiss to taste The sweetness of the wine A meager innocent passing touch A flutter of a wing A simple little kiss To make my heart and spirit sing Nothing lost and nothing gained An uneventful kiss So that I will well recall The unevents I didn’t miss Let nature take its course, my love And streams flow where they may Perhaps this uneventful kiss Unfolds a love to stay Just let me say good evening With a press upon your lips The sweetest words of love Are sometimes spoken in a kiss Elizabeth Santos |

Ah, Elizabeth, what a wonderful poem. Yes, a kiss, a simple kiss - how many words does a kiss hold? Beautiful netswan |

Liz I had to read about this little kiss...you wouldn't have to twist my arm...I could even offer a big kiss. James |

A little kiss??? A kiss on the palm, "I salute thee" A kiss on the cheek, "I befriend thee" A kiss on the forehead, "God bless thee" A kiss on the lips, "Cross my heart, I love thee" A kiss with tears, "Sorry have to leave thee" A kiss unreturned, "Spurned" A flying kiss "Good bye" A kiss, a single kiss, a little kiss.... By the way, Liz, before I get carried away, let me salute you for this beautiful poem that you have written and posted.... Regards, sudhir. Life is like a painting, That in an art gallery is left hanging, Though many come just to look at it, A very few actually come to enjoy it. |
