Before Love A lifetime ago In times of swords and shields The spill of blood did flow Over meadows and silent fields He lay in the battlefield Angel of death, at his side His love unspoken and left concealed Mysteriously, a part of her, had died He never knew her name Never had they met He loved her just the same His life all but set Two souls together in rebirth A second chance from the Dove He had finally proved his worth So says the message from above Had we met, before love? Once dead, twice risen, the power of love, is the message from the dove... This is a great one, Marina. True love searches your soul and entraps the body into the need to be reborn just to complete an unfinished task of making up for what couldn't have been otherwise, all in the name of love.... Regards, Sudhir. Life is like a painting, That in an art gallery is left hanging, Though many come just to look at it, A very few actually come to enjoy it. |

girl..this is excellent..you are so good at this story telling and imagery...and then we will talk about the rhyme pattern here...perfection to say the least. VERY WELL WRITTEN!! way cool poem marina-gator later, jm It's amazing How you make your face just like a wall How you take your heart and turn it off How I turn my head and you lose it all ... And it's unnerving How one move just puts me by myself There you go just trusting someone else Now I know I put us both through hell ... I'm not sayin That there was nothing wrong I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me And I'm not sayin We ever had the right to hold on I just didn't wanna let you get away from me. ~MB20~Leave |

"Mysteriously a part of her had died." Lovely the way you have written these words of love. James |

Marina~ Your words create such lovely images in my mind and in my heart! I believe that certain souls are always drawn together, and that those who are meant to be will find each other. Very symbolic message you have here, my friend! Lovely! Love Ya~ ~you reached inside, you touched my heart, and I am all the better for it~ Terry A. Woodson, Jr. |

Marina, the last line really does it before me. I strongly believe in soulmates and reincarnation. |

Thanks Dave, I think anyone who has any kind of romance in them seems to like the Medevial Era. Terry, thank you I am glad you liked this one. I was looking for just that when I wrote it Thank you Sven, I believe it is in fact true that we continue to meet each other in everyone of our lives ( if you believe in that as I do) though we are never the same person twice. Roger, thank you and welcome to Passions!!! Tara, thank you, I'm glad you liked it and that I was able to get the meaning across so you could enjoy it. Marina |

Ah, you couldn't keep this LoveBug away from such a love poem for long. Beautiful writing, my friend. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde |
