Clown Roy The announcement was quite clear the circus was coming to our town a grin from ear to ear shown on many as years past since clown Roy died. He'd brighten a room with laughter personally we all knew him as Roy yet his real name was Dustin Time never heard any bad from his mouth. In year 1992 a startling fact surfaced Roy once loved a woman unconditionally came as no surprise to us town folks we knew he had a heart made of gold. Seemed she'd been searching for him felt nostalgia winning her senses over now she knew the love was for him took her twenty years to realize. Roy did not seem himself anymore the clown we knew and loved died what happened deep within him, why would he react so despondently? We tried in vain to reach his core sadness filled our town everyday we loved clown Roy so very much yet had to face that he had died. Madeline who had come back now was as confused as all of us here she dreamed of his sweet greeting how she remembered his true love. One day while visiting over in Texas the big blue circus came into town my eyes opened wide at the sight it was clown Roy I knew it had to be. I walked over to give him a big hug and his smile confirmed it was him I felt this warm bright feeling inside just knowing he never really died. I asked if we could talk sometime he agreed and we met at his room before I could ask he was explaining what happened that made him retreat. He loved Madeline with all his heart wanted her for his everlasting wife she had reservations couldn't commit he tried hanging on but it hurt to much. With all his pain he joined the circus he needed an escape from himself then it happened he fell in love again not with a woman but with Clown Roy. He found himself his true honest self now I knew why we all loved him so when he heard Madeline was searching he was too afraid of losing his perspective. Even after so many years of desiring her he knew what love was through clown Roy instead of breaking her heart and his own he fully became clown Roy and Dustin Time died. A wonderful story, Gloria. Clown Roy, then and now, seemed to be quite special. Too bad Madeline never saw it. Three cheers for this one. Michael [This message has been edited by Michael (edited 04-19-2000).] |

This is such a touching tale, Gloria! It sounds like Clown Roy certainly knew where his true happiness lay! Denise |

Denise: Thank you, yes clown Roy did know where his happiness lay, and that was in making other's happy, which shielded his own heart from ever being broken again. |
