The moon hovers gently in the darkening sky, Its pale light covering the earth likes a veil Small stars burn radiantly in the darkness Twinkling for all to see A child gazes up at the night sky Innocent eyes seeing more than most do. This is her life, They are her hope. One star shines brightly above the rest, Its brilliance standing out of the sea of diamonds She reaches out to touch it For this is where she's destined to go. "Even a fool knows you can't touch the stars, but it doesn't stop a wise man from trying." Harry Anderson, "Night Court" *Cassandra Roseen* |

DawnEclipse~ This is so puurrrtttty ! It epitomizes the dreams within us all. Child or adult ... we stand on tip-toe to 'reach for the stars'. I love this. ~Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
