Oh Heart, Oh Heart Oh heart, Oh heart Would it but pump in heated rapture the searing blood of this stranded lover's life though surrounded by these cold and feminine waters whose frigid look can build a fortress of unfulfilled desires oh heart, oh heart does it not bleed of want, and want of love when desire is filled to leek and drip of need and where is this phantom of touch when touch is a place that lacks of now and then to appear at random moments to a cold and faceless scene Oh heart, Oh heart constant with rhythm that begs the question of why and why is in deed the answer and the truth in deed the lie and love was the lie of the journey that spoke in the past of when and does the heart not answer of the now that is so hollow when the love of the heart is bled Oh heart, Oh heart...... Oh heart, Oh heart constant with rhythm that begs the question of why and why is in deed the answer and the truth in deed the lie and love was the lie of the journey that spoke in the past of when and does the heart not answer of the now that is so hollow when the love of the heart is bled ---------------- ***** oh poet, oh poet ... in this verse you bleed divine. your words enchant and captivate, grace and eloquence in each splendid line. ***** parker-man, this is exquisite writing. much different than most of your work... but a very impressive style. dark and gothic dressed in desire. very nice poet-man, very nice. jm It's amazing How you make your face just like a wall How you take your heart and turn it off How I turn my head and you lose it all ... And it's unnerving How one move just puts me by myself There you go just trusting someone else Now I know I put us both through hell ... I'm not sayin That there was nothing wrong I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me And I'm not sayin We ever had the right to hold on I just didn't wanna let you get away from me. ~MB20~Leave |

Park, This dark journey is indeed a departure for you. "Feminine waters" - very interesting combination of words. Feminine waters immediately brought to mind the womb, which should feel warm and safe. Which is what I wish for you, my friend. Corinne |

Well kind poets, thank you for your nice replies. This poem, started when I first joined the site and I wrote the first two verses, and let it sit.. So I wanted the poem to stay with the original feeling of those two verses. Maybe there is some truth to it, for parts of my life. But this journey is far from dark and one of my bright spots is Passions in Poetry and all its wonderful poets, of whome I admire and hate for all their talent. So don't worry I'm not on a dark journey. or maybe I am. |

Parker~ I felt drawn into the waters ... felt the shocking of the cold waters that takes your breath away. Of course I immediately wanted to come up for air and run for the nearest set of arms to be warmed in a terrycloth hug. Refreshing ! I like it. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

James, this has something about it which is quit different for you. I am not sure if it has anything to do with the fact it is a little darker then most, but there is something about it. It is an interesting piece for sure, i think you have strectched your poetic abilities even further with this one. Very nice. Marina |

This is very well-written and rhythmic, Parker, with almost a song-like quality to it. Exceptional work. |

insect, thank you, it was bugging me that it went down so quick.. Balladeer, thank you. Though I have not tried to sing it, I can't see it sounding to good with my cat screech winey singing voice. Parker [This message has been edited by Haleyja (edited 05-17-2000).] |
