This is my first attempt at poetry. It was written in anticipation of a soon-to-be marriage proposal.

His hand, mixed in our meeting,
has nudged me near you
again and again

And has prescribed the path
that crossed your course
from time to time

Two streams, ever closer,
by fate will merge
eventually.

Now, with consented hearts,
the path I take will pattern yours
forever and ever

And your life, a gift from Him,
will bless me
with love always
