Your Champion
~First Knight~

Let me be your Champion,
The one that fights for you.
Your one and only spirit,
Your Champion through and through.

I’ll gladly stand before you,
To hold the world at bay.
There’s nothing I would not do,
Nothing I would not say.

I’ll slay the dragon called “Lonely”.
I’ll carry all your weight.
I’ll lift the burden of worry.
I’m sure you’ll see the fate.

Let me be your Champion,
There is no cause to small.
I would swim any ocean.
Or climb any wall.

Let me fly your colors.
To battle I would ride.
To fight for your honor
With respect as my guide.

Love, honor, and cherish.
Things to give a wife.
Give me please this duty
To be Champion of your life.

some women say that men are not interested in romance. Thank you for proving that chivalry is alive. Great poem.

Your name certainly fits your words here.  I think you are a "First" Class "Knight" all the way.  I really like your work - you certainly don't disappoint

wow! written to melt any woman's heart.

"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace." Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Ah David...I'd thought I had replied to this one, but I guess not. You don't have to be a champion, just be the sweet, caring person that you are and that should be more than enough for any woman

I saw this earlier today and I remembered
what a great poem this was, and had already
read and responded to it, but thought JM's is doing your favorite poem you have ever written challenge.

This is worth sending back to the top,
and so it shall happen
