Frustration Two lawn chairs and two good friends Sitting in the midnight breeze alone The storefront lights have long since died And the pretty girls have all gone home The first friend, Tim, flicks his cigarette And searches for his favorite star There are so many up there he says "Why does Jesus need to be so far" "I shall save myself," he laughs tonight And raises high upon the chair He free falls to the pavement hard And curses God for not being there Jack the silent type cant help but laugh No hand stretched to his would be brother Tim gets up and curses God once more Jack always winced afraid he’d smother Tim and Jack two childhood best friends Both could have served the Mighty King One says too much but does not believe The other believes but just says nothing [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 05-11-2000).] |

Wow, Walt - this is wonderful! It really touched me! So, since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I'd like to try to thank you in your own style: makes ya think, yuh, yuh! Troy Beautiful, Thought-Provoking Poetry http://www.h-systems.net/p1.htm |

You've hit upon a delicate subject with this one Walt!!! Many are in one catogory or the other...hopefully more will believe AND admit to it!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |
