I Don’t Understand You told me I was beautiful, As you kissed my cheek. You told me I was different, And my heart became weak. You told me you loved me, As your hand slid up my thigh. And before I knew it I began to cry. It happened so fast, I had no time to think. I fell in love. You were my missing link. Everything was perfect Until I became afraid. I realized I loved you, And I didn’t want you to go away. I tried to make you happy, I did all that I could. But true love and commitment Is something you never understood. You gave me every excuse As to why you couldn’t love. But all I could think of Was how you were the one. I’ve known for some time now How your love just disappeared. And still I waited until you told me. Until then, I lived in fear. You said you only wanted to be friends, A line I’ve used before. You said you still loved me, But I wasn’t what you’ve been looking for. That night I cried my tears dry, As you tossed my heart aside. And yet you still said How I was the perfect kind. |

Thanks for your comments. What hurts most is that he allowed me to hold on to a fairy tale when all along he knew that the reality was my nightmare... babeluv |
