 ~I Know You~ When I see you I weep. Your eyes I see through the pain you keep. I reach to save you But you pull back. Afraid I'll hurt you So afraid of attack I only want to comfort you I only want to set you free I'll not harm you I can help if you let me I know the pain you've seen I know you've been used I know where you've been And that you've been abused But all that I know About your past of fear All that your eyes show You shed not a tear. Please listen to me And know my words are true Look at me and see How much I understand you Why? you ask Can I know what you feel Who told? You ask This cannot be real Listen and I will tell All that you ask of me How do I know you? Please, come close to me. There's only one time I see Who you really are When I look inside of me Because that's who you are. |

I don't know if I can put into words how beautiful I think this poem is. You've expressed that oneness, and soul connection in such a heartfelt, touching way.
