Worst Case Wally saw a rat On the street in front of his door. He threw a stone, then realized What the rat had come there for. It had come to reconnoitre Wally's house and then confide To twenty thousand other rats The ways to get inside. Wally trembled with alarm. His hands and feet were lead. He knew he'd have a stroke and fall And, when he did so, crack his head. He could have called for help. His next door neighbors were both kind. But he knew that if he couldn't watch, They'd come inside and rob him blind. Thus, paralyzed, poor Wally stood, Convinced he'd have to face Not what what might or would occur But the absolute worst case. |
