~Read Between The Lines~ With in the verses written, secrets and sorrow lie. Words to express the heartache... the devastation when love dies. With in the verses written, pain is all dressed up in rhyme. Promises made, now broken, commitments lost to the passage of time. With in the verses written, confessions defend then define... Detailing all the damage, read between the lines. With in the verses written, hear whispered silent screams. Destiny denied by fate, cancellation of all my dreams. With in the verses written, desire and desperation dance. This poet begs for inspiration... forgiveness and love beg for a second chance. Janet Marie *repost from DP my muse is resting, temporarily, I hope. It's amazing How you make your face just like a wall How you take your heart and turn it off How I turn my head and you lose it all ... And it's unnerving How one move just puts me by myself There you go just trusting someone else Now I know I put us both through hell ... I'm not sayin That there was nothing wrong I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me And I'm not sayin We ever had the right to hold on I just didn't wanna let you get away from me. ~MB20~Leave |

So much lies between the lines of any poem, Janet. Blessed be the reader who comprehends. Love this piece - thanks for the apple too, btw...LOL Michael |

J. Marie, Your muse so very alive and definitely inspiring! I love the title of this poem, and I feel exactly what you've expressed between the lines here. You speak right to my heart, and you know I got it. I really love your writing. All of it. Lori ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean. Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens. Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance. And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance - I hope you dance. song by LeeAnn Womack ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

I enjoyed this one tremendously, Janet Marie ... especially your line: "pain is all dressed up in rhyme". I am thankful when my pen allows me to do the same. Thank you for re-posting this. Best wishes, /Kit |
