The Mountains Of Life Life is an uphill struggle, Tiresome and sometimes hard to bear. We reach the peaks of happiness, By trekking through the valleys of despair. Oh, but the joyful peaks of living Are second to none on this earth. Just ask the newlywed bride and groom Or a mother who has just given birth. Though we complain of hardships, Of the obstacles blocking our path. There are moments of pure pleasure, Found in love's aftermath. The times when our cares melt away, When we cannot help but smile. Are not those moments worth the effort of going the extra mile? On the up side of the mountain there is much to gain. The smiles waiting at the top are ever worth the pain. --------------------------------- Thanks Marge for helping me get this right! Much appreciated!
